Guest guest
have you thought to go to a reputable pain specialist and ask if they would be willing to accept the insurance group you are with? I actually have done that with dentists and the worst they can say is no...and you could also put in a complaint yourself about what they are doing, re going in weekly, having to attend AA etc..the weekly is just ridiculous...I had to go in monthly just for the nurse to count my pain meds to make sure I wasn't abusing them the first few months I was a new patient there...after only 1 was missing in a 3 month period (didn't end up using them), they told me just to come back when I had the need for them. Just a thought that might work to your favour. Regards, Ward
Guest guest
We don't have any reputible pain specialists around here excpet the one that it takes a year to get in. The others are wackos and the group I go to is out of South Carolina. My insurance pays 70% on an out of network doc but I have medicare also and that picks up some. When medicare picks up if the doc is participating physicians they take what my insurance AND medicare pay and don't charge me anymore. Its just that I cannot find a reputable one and I am not able to drive so far. My hubby is limited without getting in trouble about taking time off work, they have been good to him but don't want to abuse it. It is just a big hassle. I wish the docs would get back to practicing medicine and quit playing politics or whatever. Let the primary care docs do the pain management and get rid of this specialty. It is a joke as far as I can see.
