I was heating my goat milk on the stove and briefly forgot about it.

It got up to 200 degrees. It quickly came down to 185. Is it ruined??

I'm bringing this back up. I still have my yogurt in the maker and

would still like to know if it's any good. Can anyone help me??

The only thing I could find online is to not heat goat milk above 185

degress because it's delicate. What happens? Does it just loose its

probiotic benefits, is it no longer edible? Any help would be

appreciated.

Thanks!

I really don't know what happens if you heat it too much. I think it would run

the risk of being scorched, but it shouldn't have any bearing on whether the

probiotic is effective or not unless you don't cool it back down to room temp.

I'd use it anyway as long as it tastes the same.

If your yogurt comes out tart and was fermented at the correct

temperature it is probably fine. The texture may be a bit off.
