Guest guest Posted May 3, 2005 Report Share Posted May 3, 2005 I think if my urologist calls the ER telling them I am on my way in with a stone, they are standing there with IV lines and morphine ready to go. The are very quick to relieve the pain. But before I had a regular urologist, sometimes I had to wait until blood showed up in my urine or I had a positive stone on x-rays or scans. I quickly learned to call my personal physician before I went to an ER and they sent the orders themselves. That might help. Hope so.
