Guest guest
it is easier to give up the caffiene now, there are so many changes after surg. Dr. R. will give you a Rx. for Vioxx that takes the place of Ibuprofen, aspirin and Tylenol very nicely!!

Guest guest
Happy Thanksgiving! 3 quick questions: 1) Has anyone beat an insurance company's denial based on a written exclusion in their policy? 2) Do I have to quit all caffiene now and forever (mgb 12/7)? 3) What do people use for painkillers in place of ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and aspirin as a post-op? Thanks! in MD Kleinman The Apes www.mp3.com/apes ________________________________________________________________________________\ _____ Get more from the Web. That is Dr. R's recommendation > > 3) What do people use for painkillers in place of ibuprofen, acetaminophen, > and aspirin as a post-op? I had foot surgery today. The Dr. gave me Tylenol #3 which I took. He has seen the manual and is aware of the recommendation by Dr. R. There are many other prescription pain killers which we can take. He chose to tell me to take the Tylenol because several of the others make me bonkers. He also said to note that Dr. R says that he does not recommend Tylenol...and that many people overuse over the counter drugs. I think that I used many, many over the counter drugs to combat the aches and pains caused by the obesity. I see that now. The Doc today said that taking a few of these after the surgery won't hurt. So I've had two. Not sure I'll need any more anyway. I had daily headaches pre-op. While the headaches disappeared post-op for the most part, I have had three. I took Vioxx which is a prescription that Dr. R gave me upon discharge. It works well for me. This was a major concern for me because I had such awful pain in my legs, knees, feet and hips before surgery. Another lander, who is recently post-op, , had the same concern. My pain is gone as is my daily headaches and at least weekly migraines. But believe me, this was something I really worried over. I now know that it's not a big thing but I didn't at the time and was very concerned. Hope this helps you some . > Thanks! > > in MD > > > > Kleinman > The Apes > > www.mp3.com/apes > > ________________________________________________________________________________\ _____ > Get more from the Web.
