Guest guest
I just wanted to wish you luck with your appt tomorrow. I know you must be a little nervous about it; that is perfectly understandable. Shoot every time I went, my BP would be through the roof...lol Is your Mom going to be with you? I hope so, it helps to have another person to assist with the interpretation of what he is going to say. If not, take a tape recorder with you so that you can listen to it again. You would be surprised how much you wont remember of what he says. Its a stress thing. Even with all the years I worked with the OR's and all the stuff I know, I forgot a lot of what he has said to me. Luckily we were friends and I could just email if I had a question. Bugged the dickens out of him..LOL Well just wanted to let you know I will be thinking about you. I see the plastic surgeon on friday and I am a little anxious about that myself. Maybe I will get lucky and he will thow in a tummy tuck...LOL.. Naa I got lousy luck..*S* Please let meknow what he has to say, I have been worried about you but so very pleased that you had this spell of feeling good. Aint that always the way it is, when you take your car to the mechanic it never makes that click click for him that you hear..LOL You are in my thoughts, you are one tough cookie and impress the heck out of me. Not too many people are as strong and you and can turn their lives around after experienceing so much personal tragedy. Oh and by the way I hope ex #2 gets burned big time! Guest guest
, I just got back from my appt with Dr. Vitale (the surgeon). I am scheduled for surgery on Monday May 9, 2005. He is going to do a thorascopic splanic nerve divison, In other words he is going to cut the nerves to my pancreas and hopefully will take care of my pain temperarily. He doesn't want to do the Whipple until I am 40. That is 3 years. He said that this surgery may work for 1month or it may work for 2 years. _____
Guest guest
Patty, I hope that you're considering this surgery as good news. I've heard of this being done before, but unfortuately not heard a patient's results. I'm hoping that for you it will work for 2 years minimum, perhaps more. You'll be in my prayers and thoughts on Monday, Patty. After all that you've gone through, you deserve the relief and freedom from pain. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
