Guest guest
I have been experimenting with a bunch of recipes to see if my little guy would eat scd before going cold turkey. I've tried tons of the pancake and waffle recipes to no avail, he won't touch them. Currently the only SCD things he will eat are chicken nuggets (but he chokes these down and it takes about an hour to get him to eat just 4 of them) and banana/walnut muffins, he eats scd fruits as well. I've also tried to make my own popsicles but he won't eat them. I've made cashew cream ice cream that I think is wonderful, but he won't touch it. His gfcf diet consists of rice cereal, chips (corn and potato), rice bread for peanutbutter jelly sandwiches/french toast and gfcf cookies and sorbet ice creams and popsickles along with carrots and fruit and as mentioned above, the scd nuggets and muffins My question, does anyone have a really great bread recipe that is similiar to regular bread and can anyone make any other suggestions on getting a child to eat scd who typically refuses such things? Other than the chicken nuggets, he is vegan...won't eat meat. I try to put eggs in everything...cookies/bread etc. to get protein in him. Guest guest
I think that you're going to discover that the only way to get him to eat the SCD foods is to take away the GFCF foods. His body is craving the starches that he's eating, and he is limitting himself to only what those bad guys in his gut want. Your best bet is to go cold turkey. He may even go on a food strike, but tr4ust me, it will end.
