Guest guest
Brigitte, There is always a risk when one goes into surgery. When I was being told about the surgery I was to have, I was in the less than 5% chance of death. At the time I was 33, not very active but apart from Pancreatitis and a hereditary condition, I was healthy..well as healthy as one can be with CP *L* I am now 37 don't have CP anymore, but have rare tumours that tend to grow in me, and I get the 10% chance now. I do know that the rate is higher for the elderly and have poor health. The anaesthesiologist & doctors should tell you about the risks involved, and they should answer all questions you put to them. If you haven't already, I'd be writing down all the questions you want answers to. If you can't think of any, just ask us and we can give you some ideas to sort through what is important to you to know.. Regards, Ward / TN PAI Administration Support dceward@...
