Guest guest
We have not officially started the diet, but the approach I've decided to take is to start my son off with SCD foods and get him to eat a variety of the SCD foods and then start the diet. Yesterday I took away his GF muffins and his Jamba Juice (which basically is a smoothie with tons of sugar in it) and his processed cheese, which is basically all he eats. Yesterday he ate strawberries, apples, carrots, some bites of chicken pancake and some bites of cheddar cheese. This morning he is throwing up. He was thirsty this morning and drank a lot of water and then he vomitted. He has done this before when I've tried to change his diet (going GF/CF). Do you think this is a die-off reaction, or do you think that he's nauseous from not eating yesterday? This is why I always put something back in his diet that I'm trying to change because he always has such a reaction and I feel sorry for him because he gets pale and nauseous. Should I stick to it even though I haven't officially started the diet? Thanks for any help.
Guest guest
, Yes, this is a sign of die off reaction. Just hang in there and continue the diet. http://www.pecanbread.com/new/temporarysymptoms.html The webpage above has advice for reducing the symptoms. If these are not enough then try Green Tea. Dr Mercola has expressed concern about the high fluoride content of green tea; so just use it for a few weeks.
