Guest guest
Debbie, While I was entering information into the Database files into the Doctor's List, I came across a Pittsburgh Gastroenterologist that you might be interested in calling. His name was Adam Slivka, UPMC, 200 Lorthup St., Pittsburgh, PA 15213 Telephone Doctors on this list are recommended by other PAI members when they feel that they received good care. This doctor appears to be a member of the Midwest Multi-Center Pancreatic Study Group. Hope this information helps. To everyone - if you're looking for a reputable doctor in your area, please don't forget to look in our Database at the Doctor's list that's at the top of the page. Click on that file and you may find the answer to your doctor search questions. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Guest guest
Yes, I did see Dr. Slivka and he wanted me to have the surgery immediately. I also see Dr. Wald. I am scheduled to see him in about two weeks. I missed an appointment a couple weeks ago. I inadvertently missed the date on the calendar. Since I last posted with you I have been very ill with a lung infection. Last night fever of 103. I have a good primary and we started me back on my IV antibiotics. With both of these diseases it is challenging some days. Last night was one of the sickest I had ever been. They probably should have admitted me but I would not go. I will let you know after my appointment in megaton at the university this week. It is so wonderful to network with people that have experienced the same thing. Not to wish on my worse enemy. Prayers to all. As they say " sometimes God puts us on our backs so we may look up " . Take care and have a lovely Mother's Day. Deb
