Guest guest
I suspect my twins have a latex allergy. The dr is going to test them on the 30th to see if they do. We are just avoiding it until it can be confirmed. I know latex is a natural product and it is the protein that transfers through the skin that is the allergy. I am wonder if this is a common alergy for kids with ASD? It is hard to avoid latex as my twins seemed drawn to latex things. (goggles, hats with latex bands, latex toys, hair elastics..,)
Guest guest
You may already know this, but you will probably want to be cautious of certain foods as well then because it is common to have a cross allergy to them if you have a latex allergy. I wish Carol were still on the list because she has a latex allergy, and could tell you if I'm missing some. I have a friend in California who also has a latex allergy, so she has told me about the common cross allergies. They are kiwi, pineapple, sometimes strawberries, and I think I'm missing a couple. You could probably google it though. I'd steer clear of them until you know for sure, and definitely if they do test possitive in the end. Meleah I suspect my twins have a latex allergy. Anyone else? Guest guest
Latex allergy part 3: The foods listed are foods that *may* cause a reaction in those with latex allergy. These foods may be okay for people with latex allergy.
