Guest guest
My 3 year old twins have been on the diet for almost two weeks. (since ASD assement specialist diagnosed them at preschool.) They are verbal but they were regressing in their verbal skills and behaviour (starte echolalia, whining and waking at night. Since starting the diet they have already made improvements. I got a little scared because they seem so passive, especially . He is normally silly and fun. The diet has really changed his personality. I am asuming this is normal for awhile. I had them only on chicken, ground beef, omega three eggs, ground pork and reverse omosis water. I noticed when I gave them any juice they got a runny nose so I took them off it. It was not as bad as it was before we started the diet. The twins are taking 4-6 hour naps and sleeping all night. Is this normal. Yesterday,I gave them some juice (diluted 1 part juice and 3 parts water) because I thought they just looked too sick. They have about 16 oz of the diluted juice, each at one sitting. I haven't received my probiotics or progurt starter yet. ( I ordered them from the states but they havent arrived)They are just strictly on the diet with out anything supplementing or no yogurt or probiotics. (I found some that appear legal but they have 30 plus billion and I thought that would be too much.) Anyway, any adivce would be helpful as I am scared of harming them. We have been doing the sc diet for almost two weeks now. We have seen better eye contact and language skills. My twins are 3 and a half years old. We havent even been in to see the Dr as we live in Ontario Canada and the we have a shortage. (We now have an appoint for may 30) I also made an appoint with a Naturalpathic dr that is willing to work with our family physician. Appointment is set for tomorrow! YEAH! Guest guest
You need to introduce some foods that are fruit and vegetable right away for some legal carbohydrates. It is not safe for them to eat only protein for so long. You might want to reference the stages chart on pecanbread.com under the food preparation section. It is only a guide, but will give you an idea of the types of foods that are usually tolerateed earlier than others. Remember to peal, seed, and cook all fruit and vegetables at this early time in the diet. You could start with carrot, butternut squash, spinach, or zucchini. Introduce a new food every two to three days, and watch for any negative changes in the boys. Meleah Comments please My twins have been very lethargic My 3 year old twins have been on the diet for almost two weeks. (since ASD assement specialist diagnosed them at preschool.) Guest guest
It is not normal for a 3 1/2 year old to sleep 4-6 hours for naps. Mine (also 3 1/2) skips naps or only takes 1 hour naps. You really need to add some other non protein foods.
