Guest guest
Hi Janet, Yea, I have learned too that Walgreen's is not the place to have pain med prescriptions filled. I had similar problems to yours. Luckily, my husband's insurance will cover that for me so I was able to transfer those scripts to a pharmacy that a friend works at so he makes sure that he fills it on time and correctly. Unfortunately, my husband's insurance will not cover my zofran so I am stuck going to Walgreen's for that one. Seeing that it is a $2,000 monthly script, I figure I have to put up with the hassle and indignanty of dealing with Walgreen's in exchange for getting it for $10.00 co-pay. But even so, they are quite unreliable with this script too (refusing to fill it, shorting me on the number of pills, etc). I really do not like dealing with that chain but it has a monopoly with our self-insured program (probably kick-backs involved). But thanks for the warning.....it is nice to know that my experiences are not unique (well, I wish that it didn't happen to any of us, but you know what I mean).
