Guest guest
Hey to all of you guys on the Pre-Op list, as I don't post often; but try to read some of the mail. I'm still busy stamping out mental illness in Tampa; but happy to report that my surgery 9/13/99; is still being successful!! I am still loosing!!! Just a little bit, but I think I look great. Some of my MGB sisters in Tampa agree. teehee. I just wanted to share some Thanksgiving thoughts. Last year, we had the big Italian/German/Southern family thing going on, and I had just come out of surgery, so was really kind of puny, and could not eat much (according to my Sgt. Mother). This year I just skipped the whole darn thing; and had the family over for deserts - yes, I said deserts...well, anyway; everybody commented on my " transformation " from this time last year; and I FELT GREAT!! I'm now officially below my 10 yr old Driver's License - lied about - weight!!!WOOHOO. I am recovering from a nasty cold, but otherwise am feeling wonderful. Thank you RR. Thank you all for the wonderful support/prayers/talks, etc. during this past year and two months. Good luck to all you wannabees. If I can ever help, please contact me. Trust me, I'm a doctor!!LOL Love, Rexanne, Queen of Tampa

Guest guest
Kim, you need to get the manual and read it...That will answer most of your questions..You are to get Your PCP to do all the pre-op stuff, you only have to go to NC once and that is to clinic and to have surgery...but if you haven't gotten the manual get it first... Guest guest
It is on his site and I think you have to download it and print it out...I am not sure now. when I had my surgery, they mailed me a manuel but think they have stopped that now...You can get a lot of your questions answered off of his site and then if you will ask the group will answer anything else..If your insurance approves right away it will probably be 3 to 4 months...depending on how soon you do all your foot work and getting the packet together for him...You are just beginning the journey of a life time so take a deep breath, and join the world of Rutledgeville...and the MGB.... Guest guest
i could use some help! i has just started, i wrote in my e-mail and was told i need to do the 12 step thing, contacts letters,etc,./ i am working on this all now, i could still use 10 contact people to write to me and tell me there experiences. i was also wondering about the insurance, if someone could help me out with this, my insurance needs to know why it is medically necessary, before they approve, and i keep hearing about this 910.00 and 1000.00 that people keep having to pay. is this something that everyone has to do? my insurance should pay 100% ( i think) from what i read. and i would like to know ,, i live in NY and will be going to NC for surgery , how many times do i need to go to NC before the surgery? and can i have all my pre op stuff done here? and what is this packet i keep hearing about? i did receive a e-mail from Dr R and he said to do the 12 step then they will turn everything into the insurance. once i do that how long is it taking? before the surgery? i need to start to make plans. (money and time !) so any info anyone can send me to help this go along smooth i would be so grateful. thanks everyone for putting all your info on this site it is really helpful to read all this./ hope to here from everyone sooooonnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
