Guest guest
I have posted a few times. In 1970, I had a total hysterectomy, I was twenty one I almost died that time it was from a certain IUD. I had my appendics out then the gallbladder, then a hernia repair, then part of my colon due to precancerous polyps. I have had very severe diahrea attacks and had a few tests that told me absolutely nothing, I have horrific gas and bad diahrea, I am tired all the time, about two weeks ago, I had a very painful pancreas attack. I was given pain meds. The next day I called and told the dr that the pain meds were not working, he had me go in for an ultrasound which apparently showed nothing, I look like I am nine months pregnant all the time and the dr does not take me seriously. So today when I saw him he mentioned celiac disease and wanted me to stay away from gluten. Then he sent me to the hospital for lab work and xrays of my stomach. I was on a liquid diet for 7 days and taking enzymes with meals. Well now today he calls and says my liapaise levels are high and to go back on a clear diet and I am scheduled for a ct scan this Friday. My husband and I had reservations for dinner our 41st anniversary but the phone rang and they said go back to clear diet. That sucked. My liapaise level was 898. I have'nt been eating and I thought the enzymes were doing the work for my pancreas. I don't understand any of this. Thanks for listening Esther PS I have never weighed over 120 pounds before this and now I weigh 160, my doc tells me I amm not losing weight do to the anti-depressant med I am on. I hope the best for everyone on this site!!!!Esther
Guest guest
Esther, Hi I have cystic fibrosis and cp. Just to let you know I my lipase runs 800-1000 al the time for about eight months. Unless I have pain and severe abdominal pain and bloating I stay on a pureed diet or chopped. Eating or clear liquids only seems to help my pain, it usually does not change my enzyme levels. I'm not sure why. Take care Deb
