Hello there,

I made my first lot of goat yoghurt and am very proud that it all

worked well. Gave daughter, about 1/4 of teaspoon today, she was

happy but by early afternoon had very mushy BM with that " die off "

smell. I was just wondering if it is normal to get such a quick

reaction and if I should keep going, and if so at what rate. She has

been Casein free for over 18 months so I am very nervous. Any advice

would be appreciated. VK

Hi VK,

I am glad that you are seeing such a quick die off reaction. There is

a big difference between 1/8 and 1/4 of a teaspoon. I think that 1/8

would be a good amount. Carefully observe her and withdraw the yogurt

for a few months if the reactions are very severe.

Parents of children who were dairy free prior to SCD should wait a few

months before doing the yogurt.
