My twins are eating huge amounts too. They just had a whole chicken

between them, one entire cauliflower and a quarter pound each of

hamburger. They are only three years old. They weighed 29 lbs two weeks

ago just before we started the scd and now they weigh 31lbs. Let me know

if anyone has any comments about this.

Thanks,

Cindy

It is very, very common for the kids(and even the adults) to have a varacious

appetite once moving to SCD. There have been a few theories about this. They

are using a tremendous amount of energy in detoxing their bodies from bad yeast

and bacterial overgrowth. They are actually beginning to absorb the nutrients

from their foods, and their bodies just demand the nutrition that they've been

withheld for so long. It could be a number of things. It does usually slow

down...eventually. Personally, I wouldn't be concerned unless they begin to

become overweight.
