Pepcid, Pentasa Questions

Hi:

Our GI doc prescribed both of these medications for our 7yo son per scope, he

is still on the diet but needs additional help with meds. He has been

emotionally and crying and doesn't want to go to bed lately, don't know if its

yeast because he did have strep throat last week and had to put on antibiotics,

we did give alot probiotics away from antibiotics but hard to figure out what's

up. Appreciate any comments.

Hi,

I'm 38 with crohn's disease and I take Pentasa/Protonix (instead of

Pepcid). Neither seem to bother me and the Pentasa has really made a

difference when I've eaten something I shouldn't have. I usually take it

after I eat. The protonix, I don't need as often as I used to but I'm on a

limited diet.

I hope he feels better soon. I try to take folic acid extra because someone

told me I may need it but I don't think it's a " true " sulfa drug. Maybe

someone else knows. It's in my multi anyway.
