I have been in communication with Rx For Indiana as they are wanting to educate the public about these unused resources. For more, go to:http://rxforindiana.org/. They wanted to know if the PAI would consider allowing them to have a display table at the symposium. And, of course, they will. I checked into this service some more. It is difficult for an individual to qualify as 'poverty' income, but for persons with children, I do believe it may be a good service to try and not let people, in fact, fall through the cracks'. The poverty guidelines can be found at: http://www.rxassist.org/federal.cfm. Though many persons make only ten dollars too much, and do not qualify, I do not think it would benefit anyone to bash this income structure. It would not affect change. The PAI along with the ADA and AHA are working through legislative hearing to make legislative changes to these guidelines. The system is new and, by your testimony, is really helping people. That is cool! Karyn E. , RN Executive Director, PAI Pancreatitis Association International
Guest guest
Hi Karyn; Yea, I'm on SSDI at $17,700 a year and this will be a BIG help. I didn't see any restrictions as to what state you lived in, just answer a handful of questions (age, are you pegant, annual income, any other prescription coverage, and medical or whichever state you are in) and they tell you online if you qualify. Glad it helped. Dick > Dick, > > You wrote, " One web site he turned me onto is www.pparx.org where you can find many medications for free from the pharaceutical companies.
