Hi ,

Thank you for taking the time to respond, especially since you are feeling so

badly after your surgery. Compared to what you are going through, my situation

seems a bit trivial...scary as to what it could mean for the future tho!

I've been feeling a bit better the last couple of days. Not constant

discomfort, and I actually ate some pasta w/ mushrooms and red peppers last

night. It's not got a lot of fat, but lots of garlic..good thing we all love

it! I was just tired of cooking big dinners and watching everyone else eat. I

felt ok after, so that's good. I just tried some fat-free greek yogurt w/

blackberries, and that seems to be digesting ok too. Of course, they had me

come and get my blood checked yesterday...after I started feeling better! I'm

also supposed to get an ultrasound.

I am taking antioxidants..I saved Heidi's post about them. I don't have them

all yet, but take Vit C and E, Selenium, a multi-vitamin, flaxseed oil and a

glucosamine/chondroitin because my knees crackle when I walk upstairs (a result

of all my running I guess). Add on the 600mg of Advil I'm taking these days (I

think I may have re-herniated my surgically repaired disc in my spine last Sat

nite while bailing water out of my basement window-well during a horrible

thunderstorm because it was flooding my finished basement bedroom...but that's a

whole 'nother story that gets my pancreas hurting cause it reminds me of how mad

I was at my absent husband at the time!! LOL) and I take more pills for

breakfast than food!

Actually, I had a question about the antioxidants. If you're taking 600mg (or

whatever the measure is..it's 3 pills) of some thing like Selenium, do you take

them all at once or space them out during the day? I've been taking them all at

once because I never remember later.

I hope you are feeling better today, and thanks again for your advice,
