Guest guest
Hi guys,' I am having a horrible time sleeping! I am going to see Dr. Adam's again tomorrow for my second octreotide injection and I am going to ask him if he will prescribe something to help me sleep. My nerves are just torn up about this surgery coming up. I have never been so doggone scared of a surgery before in my life! Do you have any info or ideas about sleep aids? I normally just take nytol or sominex. But that is not working. I have tried ambien before and it worked great but I had to be in the bed when I took it so I wouldn't do anything stupid! Guest guest
I take Xanax. I started taking it because I was so afraid an attack would happen when I went to sleep that I wouldn't want to go to sleep. And coincidence or not, since I have been taking it nightly, I haven't had an attack since. 3 years last month. I realize that Xanax can be extremely addicting and I only take 1 pill at night. I never take it at any other time, nor does it weigh on my mind during the day. I function quite normally. I can even fall asleep for a few hours at night even if I don't take it. But at some point I will awake and realize I never took it before falling asleep and take it, and then go back asleep. To me, this is the little magic pill that keeps those horrible, painful attacks at bay! Sandy in Ca NOTOFARMS2@... wrote: >Hi guys,' > I am having a horrible time sleeping! Guest guest
Well good luck with that. never wrote any for me and I had asked several times. He eventaully wrote for Ativan, which did relax me and help me to sleep but that took a while to get it out of him. He was just very hesitant with those type of meds. Never with the narcs tho. You might be better off asking your GP. Let meknow how things go tomorrow. The plastic surgeon's office is not at Rutledge Tower, otherwise I would have asked about having lunch.
