Guest guest
Hi Bert! You can't know how delighted I was to see your post! I have thought of you so many times since you had your surgery, hoping that you were doing well. I'm so sorry for the financial crisis and I hope things have improved. It's dreadful that you have had to be without your Creon. Interesting that you manage with a lower dose than I take, despite having had the TP. But how are you health-wise? Would love to hear a bit more if you feel able to post. Don't worry if not. I'm pretty much as before apart from a possibility that my pancreatitis might be autoimmune...probably not....still more likely to be hereditary pancreatitis..... but they are doing tests currently. You'll gather that I haven't had the TP. They have me in a research programme at Liverpool looking at ways of monitoring for earlier detection of pancreatic cancer. (You might remember that, in my case, it was a high cancer risk which led to serious consideration of the TP.) Now that the pain and other symptoms are better controlled and the monitoring systems are gradually moving forward a little, it has been decided to shelve the operation for the time being. My husband had a radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer seven weeks ago. He's recovered very well from the actual surgery but we still don't know what the future holds. Take care anyway and thanks for the post. It was just great to see your name again! Fliss (UK)
