Guest guest
Well, the representative from Mylan called me today and discussed my problem with me about patches coming off. See, I lose my patches sometimes because I sweat so much every day that they tend to come loose and, once this happens, the patch is no longer useful. All she said is that they do not recommend bioclusive patches on top of their product. They suggested that I use surgical tape around the edges to make sure that this does not happen. Even when I protested that even the tape comes loose and that the bioclusive does not, they offered no other ideas. As a matter of fact, this is the recommendation that they make in the patient information and the doctor information on the patch itself. Darn! I love those patches and Jannsen will no longer send me any and I know that I can't ask anyone else to get them for me because they keep tight track on these things. Oh well. Same deal, different day! Anyse
Guest guest
> Anyse Before I put a patch on I wipe the area down with an alcohol pad. This seems to help with them staying on longer. Also you can try putting them on in different places, mine go on either the upper part of my outer thigh or on the lower part of my back. The nurses in the hospital usually put them there when I'm hospitalized. I would also tell you doctor to make sure he specifies do not substitute, my copay is higher for not getting the generic but it is well worth it for me do get the brand name one this one drug.
