Finialy my pain doctor called me this morning and he is tapering me off the

oxycontin 80mg bid. Tomorrow I start with 60mg bid and each day go down 10mg

bid. The nurse is writing the script for 10mg tabs. I am a little nervous and

then again excited to get off of it and just have a prn pain med. You know I

rub a shamrock that my mom gave me every day for good luck. I still am having

pain but it doesn't feel like the panc pain. It feels like a pulling from maybe

stitches or staples and alot of muscle and back pain. I pretty sure it is from

the surgery I had last monday.

Patty,

Just give yourself enough time to heal from this surgery and adjust to the

lower doses of meds. Time will take care of both. You're going to be just fine

and you'll be better for it afterward.

With love, hope and prayers,

Heidi
