stupid generic patches!!!

I also am in a battle over these stupid generic patches. Nothing,

even tape, will hold them on. Even it if strap on loads of tape, I

might as well not even have a patch underneath, because the medication

does not go through my skin any longer. I called the manufacturer and

complained just because I thought they ought to know they are pushing

a defective product.

I have had a hellish week. Been taking my breakthrough med every day

just to keep sane. Went to the pain specialist yesterday and she

wanted me to add a 25 mcgrm patch along with my 50 mcgrm patch

effective immediately and in a week recheck me and prescribe a 75

mcgrm if it is an effective dose, Duragesic only. My pharmacy refuses

to fill the prescription and my health ins will not allow me to go to

any other pharmacy. The pain is severly impacting my life. I was

supposed to get a job and have been unable to do so due to my pain.

It creates a viscous loop. If they would just give me the med I need,

I could be a productive member of society, or at least try. As far as

I am concerned, my doctor has done her job. She determined whether I

need the med and prescribed it. To have to wait 1 and 2 wks to get

what i need is ridiculous.

I'm also cranky because I went to ER Sunday night and they blew a vein

and my right hand is swollen like a paw. I have to try to write with

my left hand. GRRR!!!

Anyhow, any suggestions who I can complain to? There must be someone

I appeal to. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
