Guest guest
I went to my pain doctor to trade in my oxycontin 80mg and they counted my pills and said I was 14 pills short. Now I got it filled on either May 2 or 3 for 60. I had surgery on May 9th and i took my bag of pills with me for pre-op since it is easier to just give them the bag then to try and remember everything. My mom said that the nurse took the bag of pills and said she would be right back that she was going to her desk to write down the meds and dosages. I came home May 10 and took an oxy that night and daily until Thursday. My mom took my pills because she didn't think I was suppose to continue on them since it wasn't on my d/c order only Lortab. So I gave her the pill bottle and stopped completely. As you all know I went through withdrawls and started back up on May 16. My mother counted the pills and there were only 25 left. Back in Sept of last year I found out my daughter had stolen some of my oxycontin and took it to school to some kids so she could fit in wtih the popular crowd. She was suspended for a week from school and it was put on her record. So back to today the doctor's office said since I was short I had to fill out a report for my file of what could have happened. You should have seen the look the girl gave me. I WAS SO MAD!!!!!How in the world could I take that much in a week. And also why in the wolrd would I trade in my 80mg for 42 10mg tabs to be tapered down off of? It breaks my heart to think that my daughter could have done this. I don't want to accuse her if in fact she didn't do it. When I had my mom give me back my pills she gave them to my daughter and she refused to touch them so My son was with and he carried them and brought them back to me. The doctor office made me feel like a criminal or something. Sincerly, Patty Duley, Office Coordinator L.
