Guest guest
I believe that Dr. R has been doing WLS for only 3 years; was a trauma surgeon for 20 years prior. I think that's his history. Just to keep everything straight. :-) PJ

Guest guest
I would also go to the web site to find the older post-ops. Most of them do not belong to this list. Many of them don't even know that this list exists - it was only started in 1999. When I went to clinic, I was given a contact list that included the date of surgery for the patient. If any of you have that list, you may wish to share it. Doc. R. may have started the MGB a few years ago but has been doing WLS for about 20 years, I do believe. -Ginny I. mgb: 3/1/00 348/241/195 _______________________________________________________ Tired of slow Internet? Guest guest
No, Doc R. has been doing weight loss surgery longer. When he was hired as a traum surgeon at UNC they told him he was going to WLS. He said (then) he didn't believe in WLS. They said that they would hire someone else and Doc R. agreed to do WLS in conjunction with the trauma surgery. He found that his WLS patients were more appreciative than any of those folks whose lives he saved as a trauma surgeon and that's a part of the story od how he became the Doc R. we know and love today. Got the story from Doc himself at clinic - just to keep the record staright. -Ginny I. mgb: 3/1/00 348/241/195 _______________________________________________________ Tired of slow Internet?
