Guest guest
, If someone hasn't already answered this, let me explain. I've been out of town and am trying to catch up by reading the messages from the oldest to the newest, so maybe someone's already answered this one. If so, I apologize for being redundant. On a personal note, Coconut is trying to sit on my lap and is half on the computer-half on the lap, making typing just a tad bit difficult......the kitties are showering me with love and being totally obnoxious with their need for attention after my absence of 5 days! Now, back to an explanation.... The site where the duragesic patch's applied doesn't sweat, the sweating is on other parts of the body as a reaction to the meds. The area where the patch needs to go needs to be completely dry and clean of all substances; i.e., soap, lotions, etc. Application is best if cleaned first with alcohol and then dried, then sprayed with antihistimine and then dried. Then apply patch and apply pressure on all parts of the corners for 60 seconds to insure proper adherence. Deodorant would be too " moist " , and would actually make the application site too slippery for the patch to adhere to. It's a good idea, but just wouldn't work. :-) With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
