Guest guest
Hello Heidi and everyone else too! The Liverpool site, which Heidi refers to in her post about hereditary pancreatic disease, is quite good for general info about pancreatic disease. I think it would be true to say that it has been written very much with the ordinary patient in mind, not professional medics, and it has good, clear pictures showing how the different sort of surgeries are carried out. It doesn't assume any prior knowledge. As it happens, it was written by Professor Neoptolemos, the pancreatic specialist and surgeon who is my consultant (and Sue's and Tony's) but that's not why I'm recommending it! It just seems to me to provide a fair introduction to the whole topic. Then one can move on to others which sometimes give more detail. The hospital is the Royal Liverpool Hospital and the docs are linked to the University of Liverpool Faculty of Medicine. Hope everyone is having a good week-end. With warm wishes, Fliss (UK)
