RE: Children and Pancreatitis

Hello all I'm still having problems and trying to hang in there. My

question is about my granddaughter. I know some of you have children

with pancreatitis and I wanted to know at what age did your children

get cp? I have my granddaughter every weekend and she is 4 yrs. old.

For about the last four weekends she has told me her belly hurt and

at first I thought it was just a stomachache. Last night she

mentioned it again and I asked her where it hurt and she pointed to

the same area I get my pain and without saying anything to her, she

said my back hurts to. I know the classic symptoms and she hardly

touched her dinner last night. I am getting worried that I may have

passed this terrible disease on such a precious little girl. She is

living with her daddy since my daughter and him divorced. My daughter

is in the military and I really hate to tell her this right now since

she is very homesick right now. I'm not sure if I should tell her

daddy to take her and get tested for it because he is not the type to

take her to the doctor unless he knows something is really wrong with

her. He is not very active in listening to her if she complains. I

thought I would check with our group to see if she was old enough to

have this now.
