Guest guest
Patty, After reading Laurie's reply I'd have to say that I thought the same, too, that the reduction should be very slowly over a longer period of time, all designed so that you WOULDN'T have to suffer through the horrible symptoms of withdrawal. This seems like a terribly accelerated schedule, and I second the idea of asking your doctor if you could do it more gradually, thus not having to go through so much discomfort. When I reduced my meds with the cooperation of my pain management doctor, each change was done over a 30 day period....not overnight!! This allowed my body to gradually become accustomed to the lower dosage, suffering NO withdrawal symptoms at all. I realize that you may not want to have to have it take that long, but certainly if it could be drawn out over a few weeks, it would be more pleasant than what you're experiencing right now? Guest guest
Youv'e got that right. I feel miserable. I called my pain doc yesterday and still have yet to get a phone call. I am nauseated now and I forgot my phenergan at home. I'm at work and it is real tough. Patty ---------------------------------
