Today they injected 5 different things via the epidural inserted and the 5th one caused my arms, body from breast height to below my navel to be numb and the pain disappeared. " First of all, congratulations! I know this has been a long time in coming. I have a question, which may have been answered previously, so I apologize if this is a duplicate question. How is a diagnostic block done? What is put into your back or spine? How is it put in? That in itself sounds murderously painful and scary. Of course, I dread the thought of more pain. On the other hand, those who do have a spinal pump are very satisfied with this method of pain control.
