I am pretty certain that this would be illegal even though I don't have a clue

what it is because of the word syrup. Does anyone know what agave syrup is, and

if it is in fact illegal?

Hi,

Agave syrup is shown as illegal in the Illegal/Legal list. It is a

sweetener from the agave plant. It is a popular sweetener right now

along with the new flavored Stevia. Buzz over this is all over the

Weight Watcher Boards. You know the story: people like to think that a

natural product will allow them to be healthier, but calories are still

calories no matter how organic the product. Cactus is also illegal,

which is a shame since it is delicious.

It's from the lilly family and used to make tequila.
