Guest guest
Hi Karyn The block i sdone via an epidural, one i splaced high up in th middle back and one lower down, they are attached to a catheter ten they test different substances, I am nto sur eof all of them an dwill find out in the next week or so. The first 4 did nothing soem mad eme worse. The last one I feel may have been bipvociaine with fentanyl and something else. It lasted like 7 hours in total of block. I am unsure what it means long term it may mean I can have an interthecal pump or spinal cord stimulator? This would be much better then the oral meds an dside effcts that I get epsecially constipation, and pain. Yes for mw its painful I have a bony back apparently but I knew that in the past when I have been hospitalised when epidurals were put in the allowed me to get on top of the pain after weeks. I was on PCA fentanyl and duragesic patches at teh same time so its a little hard to remember it all. But having this while not in hsopital proves to me that it works! and I will find out why. I will let you know when I have found out the mixes. Have you thought of using one? Cheers Debs >
