Guest guest
Hi everyone, I've only been on spasmodically the past few weeks. I haven't been doing that great, and when I have had good moments, I haven't wanted to be spending it online. I stretched out my next CT scan as long as I could, have been having pain since my last surgery, and it's been getting worse. I was supposed to try and wait until the middle of June for my next scan, but felt I needed it done sooner, and am glad I did. The existing pain is still undiagnosible. Could be a pocket of air trapped in scar tissue which my body has made lots of and forced my scar to stick out a mile, or a rarer chance that it could be an abcess, yet I have not shown any signs of that (fever, rash, infections) and it is so far past surgery (9 months) that the doctor thinks it is unlikely. I told him I had been getting some new pain in the middle of both my previous surgical sites over the past 2 weeks, and when I touched the area that is tender, he told me that is the exact site where a new tumour is growing. It is the size of a quarter already. I usually feel the pain at onset of growth, so if that is still the case, this one is very aggressive. He is getting the CT results from Feb up in Cleveland to see if that truly was clear, and when he views that, will call me to organise a surgery date. I want to put it off until the end of June as my mum needs to prepare to come over here from Australia, and I have a few commitments from last year that I can't put on the backburner yet again. During this surgery, he will stick a needle in my scarline where the air/abscess is guided by ultrasound and see what comes out or doesn't happen...then feel me up with antibiotics to try and prevent an infection. Anyway, that is my latest news, and I will try to be more regular etc on here in future, Regards, Ward PAI Administration Support dceward@...
