Guest guest
I went to see a new dr on Tues, as I was out of my antidepressant and a few other things. The guy seemed nice enough, and was just chatting with me about my overall health (last pap, last tetunus etc) He asked about my gall bladder. I said I wasn't sure, but remembered that one of the test results mentioned sludge in my gall bladder. He announced that my gall bladder needed to come out. He said I have probably been passing stones all this time. He offered to send me to a local surgeon. I have been giving it thought and poking around a bit on the internet. I remembered that when I had my ultrasound done a few weeks ago, the first thing the ultrasound tech commented on was that my gall bladder didn't look right. The fundus was tipped the wrong way. So I called the dr. back today and left a message that I would like that referral after all. Even though I have my appt at UCD next Fri, I figured it takes a few weeks to get the referral to go through anyway. If UCD comes to the same conclusion I can just cancel with the surgeon. It feels validating that something really is wrong. My pancreatitis could be secondary to my gall bladder problems. It has been making me nuts that I could appear so healthy on the outside and yet be so debilitated. So, if anyone has any spare positive thoughts to spare, please send a few my way. Thank you. I hope this finds everyone able to enjoy this beautiful spring day. Kara
Guest guest
Kara, Yes, a lot of people have pancreatitis due to gallbladder problems (either stones or sludge or other problems with it). I will keep my fingers crossed that this is what will help your pancreas. At least with seeing the doc at UCD, you'll have a second oppinion. Sorry I've been offline for about two weeks. I posted earlier on why I was offline. Kimber -- Kimber Vallejo, CA hominid2@... Note: All advice given is personal opinion, not equal to that of a licensed physician or health care professional.
