I'm just finishing up my first batch of yogurt (using goat's milk).

I noticed it looks a little yellowish - is this normal? Also, should I

try just taking a teaspoon at first? I've been reading where some

people have to go real slow??

thanks,

Hi ,

A slight yellow cast may be from fat in the milk. Does the yogurt

smell " off " or just " goaty " and tart.

If you were dairy free prior to SCD you may wish to go slow with

starting the yogurt. If you are going through die off now I'd suggest

starting with 1/4- 1/8 tsp. If you have symptoms right now start with

1/2 tsp and gradually increase it as long as you continue to have no

problems. If you run into die off symptoms slow down the increasing

yog amounts and try epsom salt baths/activate charcoal.

Die off description and epsom salt bath instructions:

I don't know what " goaty " smells like but it does have a tart

taste. But I have to say it tastes awful. Its all liquid unlike the

more solid yogurt I'm used to from the store. Did I do something

wrong?
