Guest guest
Hi all! After being sick in bed with a bad attack this week, I had to go to my doctor's this afternoon. My cell phone is in the car, and when I turned it on, there was a message from telling me that Chrissy was back in the hospital. Thanks, Cath, for letting me know. I had talked to Chrissy on Sunday morning and she sounded good, they were out in the field picking blackberries to make a cobbler, so it was a surprise to hear that she was stricken with pain so suddenly that evening. I was able to talk to Chrissy late this afternoon and she was feeling much better. Her spirits were better than last time post-op, as said, and she was very relieved that they caught her problems early enough to avoid more complications. Unfortunately, Dr. has gone and won't be returning until Monday, so it appears that Chrissy's beach plans have gone afoul.....it's supposed to rain down here, anyway! I told her that I thought she shouldn't try to buck the release date, that perhaps it was better that she stayed longer than last time, as perhaps they released her too soon last time and this may have been caught if they'd kept her in longer. She agreed that perhaps that had some validity.... So she will be in the hospital over the weekend, and I'm sure would love to have a phone call or two. She said that Fliss had called, and that her call really made her day!! That was so nice of you, Fliss, to call from overseas, I know it meant a lot to Chrissy. I'm going up to visit with her tomorrow. I can't stay overnight so that I could visit on Saturday, too, as my daughter's house is already full with weekend guests and I have to be home on Saturday to pick up my favorite grandchild at the airport...Austin! He's coming home for the summer and I can't wait to see him. He turned 13 two weeks ago and is anxious to get back to Bluffton to see his old friends and go to summer camp in the SC mountains for 2 weeks. It will be wonderful to have him back with us, and I will enjoy having a young one around the house again. I'll update on Chrissy's progress when I return tomorrow night.
