Guest guest
We are currently concentrating on healing my daughter's eczema and are making a lot of progress. In the process I discovered my daughter handles dripped goat yogurt quite well. My question is: How do I drip a lot of goat yogurt at one time? I am thinking of using two quarts of goat yogurt the next time.
Guest guest
I always drip mine in the refrigerator, so it does take up space. I use brown coffee filters to drip so that I don't have the clothes to wash. Sometimes I drip the yogurt for 24 hours, so I'm afraid to leave it out on the counter. I want it to last the two weeks. Anyway, I went to department store and bought an inexpensive plastic ice cream container--the kind that holds a cylindar-shaped half-gallon. I cut off the attached lid. I also bought a plastic- handled strainer that fits right in the top. It seems to be a fairly standard size. For greater stability, I plan to cut the handle off the strainer with a utility knife, but I haven't yet. When I start making more yogurt (for the Vit K protocol), I will probably buy more of these. This is the most efficient shape for dripping through a coffee filter that I have found. I think I could fit a few of these in my refrigerator. Hopefully someone else will share other ideas, but this is the best I could come up with. , mom to > > We are currently concentrating on healing my daughter's eczema and are > making a lot of progress. Guest guest
Hi foodchallenged, When I am dripping a lot of yogurt (for cheesecake...) I line a colander with a clean tea towel/dish towel and place the colander in a bowl. I allow it to drip to the desired consistency, throw out the water in the bowl. Next scrape out the yogurt cheese with a spatula, washing the towel for the next time. You can also use cheesecloth to line the colander.
