Guest guest
I am using the Euro Cuisine one. I made goat yogurt twice so far and it works just fine. It comes with seven glass jars. I like it for the beginning, when you are using one quart of milk. For the long term I think I am going to use the oven light. My daughter and I are eating the yogurt. Looks like my little one can handle quite a lot of it. One quart might not be enough in a week or two.
Guest guest
I also have the same question plus, I am wondering if we can use ordinary yogurt maker (1 litre). we call it easiyo here (I'm in New Zealand) and it's not an electric one. I've just started SCD this afternoon for my autistic daughter. She took the chicken & carrot soup very well and loves the grape jello. Any comment about the yogurt maker will be great plus probably tips in making them, i.e any easy way to measure the temperature while cooking the milk, etc. many thanks. > > I think everyone will be interested in hearing the answer to this question .... > > F. > 11yrs UC / 10 SCD > > Ginger escribió: My autistic son Chandler has been SCD for about a month now and he is > doing great. > > Can any one recommend a good yogurt maker? > > Ginger > > > > > > > --------------------------------- > > ¡Descubre una nueva forma de obtener respuestas a tus preguntas! > Entra en Yahoo! Guest guest
Non-electric yogurt maker? Did I read that right? This might be the answer to our problems...maybe. Can you send us details: brand name etc.? Does anyone else know about this? Have they tried it? IT would seem it's better than burning out the past numerous machines that I had... Guest guest
Yes, it is non electric. I haven't tried them myself as I'm not sure what to buy. For odd reason, not many of the electric one for sale here. The only thing is with the non-electric one it has only max 1 litre capacity, that means I have to buy at least a couple for 1 batch (1 ltr milk + the yogurt culture / starter) and it is said to be used for 12 hours but will hold okay up to 24 hours. Any comment from anybody will be greatly appreciated. thanks. > > Non-electric yogurt maker? Did I read that right? Guest guest
Hi claricebellemum, <<Yes, it is non electric. I haven't tried them myself as I'm not sure > what to buy. I don't know if their starter cultures are legal - it depends on their 1. ingredients and what the 2. bacteria cultures are. I don't use a yogurt maker. I use a heating pad, a large container (with a lid) partially filled with water and smaller containers that fit down inside of it. I can make3-5 L of yogurt at a time.
