Has anyone ever taken the homemade yogurt on a trip? I am going away

for the weekend & even if I took my yogurt maker, by the time the

yogurt was ready, it would be time to leave. Has anyone ever put

yogurt in a tupperware container in his/her suitcase? I don't think it

would be allowed in a carry-on because of the new regulations about

liquids. Any feedback would be appreciated!

I've traveled with yogurt for our son, but not on a plane...just by car. What

you probably need to do is call the airline ahead of time to explain your

dietary restrictions. Then, I'd pack the yogurt in a little cooler of ice...You

know, one of those little ones with the handle. You could store it in the

overhead or under the seat that way.

Other SCDers have taken yogurt on planes but you should check with

your airline. Explain your situation (that the yogurt is like a

supplement to you) and they may be able to accommodate you. Dripping

the yogurt will take up less space and concentrate the good bacteria.
