Guest guest
Brigitte, I grew up in NYC and used to see the Allman Brothers every year at the Beacon Theater. About 3 years ago I saw them on my birthday, March 17. I must have been to at least 40 shows over the years. I came up to Vermont to visit a friend here in '92 or '93 and was giving up drinking, so I went to a local AA meeting in Burlington, and while everyone was introducing themselves I heard, " Hi, my name is Gregg and I'm an alcoholic " . It was Gregg Allman. I almost died..LOL. I guess I forgot about the Anonymous part by writing about it. I talked with him afterward and he said to go to the stage door at any Allman Bros show and say Bill W sent me. He's the guy who started AA. I never tried to do it though. Enough about that... I experienced really bad depression just after my Distal Pancreatectomy in '99. I went on meds for depression after trying just about anything to get rid of it. For me, the meds were perfect. Good old Prozac. I tried a few anti-depressants before the Prozac, but none worked for me, until Prozac. I must sound like a commercial...I hope this finds you everyone in good health and cheer!....Jim
