Guest guest
Hi there! Thanks for your message! I do hope your health will improve now and I'm glad the pain is at least less of an issue than it was. The insulin pump should help with the diabetes problems. I expect you know there is a support group for people who have had your surgery? PancreatectomySurvivors It's not a very busy board but useful all the same. Someone called Catree has spoken on the board more than once about the benefits her insulin pump brought to her. I am not yet diabetic so I don't know much about the subject. My CP is well controlled at the moment (Creon, low fat, no alcohol) and I attribute much of that to high-dose Creon which my pancreatologist prescribes. Of course I have no guarantees with the monitoring research programme but at least they are keeping a very close eye on me. I do have other problems in my life just now as my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer last October. He had a radical prostatectomy a couple of months ago and has recovered well from the surgery. However, there are some signs....though it's too early to be sure....that not all the cancer cells were removed. A hard time for us both just now. Well, good luck and thanks so much for your gentle words. Take care, Fliss (UK)
