Guest guest
Heres what has been going on. My 3.5 year old twins were found to be regressing at preschool. They began to behave like babies, started just echoing everyone was saying, throwing things, not looking anyone in the eye, crying if we took them to the mall or in large crowds, scripting, swinging, and turning away from affection. All this seemed to be pointing to what everyone thought was regressive autism. We have taken to the family doctor and she is the best. She is going to send them to either Kingston hospital here in Ontario or Toronto Sick Kids. She thinks (what I already know) there is an GI inflamation causing malabsorbtion and thus the brain is starving and thats why the regressive behaviour. We have been doing SCD for a few weeks and completely detoxed our home (removed all chemicals, shampoos, soaps, detergents and now only use natural products. Now we are going to a hospital to get them assesed and treated. Is there anyone out there that has medical treatment for chrons or celiac disease caught at this age that was successful for a while to relieve the symptoms. Or is it only treated with diet. Are there procedures or medications that will also heal them. Please let me know if you have answers to these questions, or any experience with this. Thank you! Guest guest
Hi your email breaks my heart because I know how it is. I have crohn's and my little boy who just turned 3 has autism. I just got out of the hospital, and now I feel great. The doctors will hit your children's disease with everything they have got. There are medicaines (I am taking azathioprine, asacol, and entocort.) The meds are scarry because they increase your risks of cancer and other things! But they will help A LOT. The azathioprine is an immune suppressor and you have to be SUPER careful the twins don't get around people who have colds, flu, etc... they wont be able to fight infections like other people. Its good to have a doctor who cares and treats you like they would family. The medicine is really good though because at least they wont be in pain anymore. Have they lost weight? There are ways to fed the brain, heart and other organs other than eating (I had a piccline in my arm with a small tube that went in a vein that went to my heart to get the nurishment that was needed. But I know diet can help very much too as well as detoxing your home. I think your on the right path, but just get the twins in a.s.a.p. Good luck! . toyz4my4boyz wrote: Heres what has been going on. Did you start with the intro? Have you been using epsom salt baths to draw toxins out of the body to help reduce die off symptoms? Some use both epsom alt baths and/or activated charcoal. Some people have found that if they go through massive die off the symptoms can be like a regression. How are their bowel symptoms?
