Brandan was on cymbalta for the last 9 months or so, for him I am sorry to say it has not helped with the residual pain he still has nor has it helped with the panic and anxiety he has been experiencing for sometime now. He was at a dose of 120 mg, I was told for pain it is the ideal dose and has had some good results in trials, but for depression the ideal dose is usually 60 mg. Truly alot of people were surprised Brandan tolerated the amounts he was able to take but unfortunately for him it just did not work. Walt I can't believe your doc just " pulled " you off of the oxycodone, if the cymbalta is working then the dose of oxycodone could be reduced, but to have to go through withdrawls, and not knowing if this drug is going to help, well its just not right. I know of another that had tried it, and couldn't tolerate it at all. BUT what is good for one might not always work for another. I wish you the best let me know how it goes. I want to apologize to everyone, for I know I havent posted for sometime but please know I am thinking and watching and trying to answer when the topic pertains to us. My husband is again going through chemo, this is round three, but we are keeping the faith and as always taking things " ONEDAY " at a time...To all new and old friends alike, As always keeping you and yours in our thoughts and prayers...Make sure to remember us in yours.
