Guest guest
Dear Jean, Don't worry about what's been going on here, and trying to keep up. You've got too many home concerns to worry about now, and we all know how much you care about each and every one here. You need to devote your time now to yourself and whatever needs to be done on the homefront. I'm really sorry to hear about your husband's stroke and heart problems. It sounds like now he's resisting any kind of supportive care - wanting you to take care of him at home, instead of the nursing home. It must be a terribly difficult decision for you to make, and I know that whatever you decide is ruled by your best judgement. If the doctor's feel that he would be better off in a nursing home, other than his own home, I do believe that they can push the issue to make sure that's where he goes. It must be so very hard for you. It could be that the different medications that he's taking are causing his resistence and discontent with everyone else's well meaning advice. I hope that giving him a day to think about it has brought about a more peaceful nature and acceptance. Try not to worry too much about right now......you've got other things to take care of, and trying to push her when she won't budge in the right direction would be fruitless for you right now, and just cause you more upset and stress that you don't need. I hope that things work out for you, and please let us know how things do work out, either way. I know you'll probably really need someone to talk to during this time, and we're always here.
