In June 2006, of last year I started my son on the SCD. It will be 1

year next week since we began our wonderful journey! has

changed so very much! He makes incredable eye contact and speaks

with much more ease! I woul say about 75% of his autism has gone! We

will keep on the diet as his bowels are not perfect yet. BUT now I

find the diet such an easy thing we may stay on it for life!

Basically my son gets no milk, so sugar, no grain, and everything

must be gluten free too. All fruits ang vegies are cooked. All our

food is organic and he eats at least 4 proteins in the diet. I am

sticking with the rehydration drink for which is a dash of

baking soda and salt with 1/4 organic orange juice and 3/4 water from

our artesian well.

I used to have an email address which was

canadiansiteforachondroplasia. Unfortunately it got stolen so I am

under kiarra52002 now. I want to thank everyone for their time and

devotion to this cause! it has changed my son forever! is

now 17 and I know that NO matter what the age changes will occur if

we stick with the diet!

I have a now 20 month old and a 6 year old that follow the diet as

well. Neither have developed autism despite the very high risk for

them! This diet is changing so many children's lives!

I also use thyroid with my boys with down syndrome/autism which helps

a great deal.

Thanks again everyone for helping us get on this diet!

Cheers!

Pamela
