Guest guest
Hi sf celiac07, <<when is it safe to add spices? i am doing intro diet and wanted to add > cinnamon to applesauce, but wasn't sure if this is okay, or best to > wait. >> You can try some spices after the intro diet. Homemade applesauce is not on the intro and the intro is only 2-5 days. First start with homemade applesauce and if that goes well try a little applesauce with cinnamon. Spices in general: Just start with a little and if having many symptoms try to only intro 1 spice at a time. > has anybody tried to pickle ginger? it is well tolerated and any tips > on how to do? > i would really appreciate any advice, on or off list. thank so you much>> Recipe for pickled ginger at http://www.healingcrow.com/ferfun/ferfun.html Ginger is fibrous and it may be best to start with the juice from the pickled ginger (rich in good bacteria). I make ginger tea at home with finely grated ginger; strained out of the tea. Sheila, SCD Feb. 2001, UC 23 yrs mom of and
