Guest guest
I have been using Dannon as a starter, and since I can never find a single serving of the plain, it has made more sense to just use more dannon as the starter each time to use up the quart. If I ever happen to find a single serving, how many times can I use the final product of goat yogurt as the starter for the next batch? - --------------------------------- Yahoo! oneSearch: Finally, mobile search that gives answers, not web links. Guest guest
Do not use your new yogurt as a starter. Something changes (degrades?). I can't explain this but I read all the old posts years ago. You could do a search of the archives and find this info. There was some debate and then finally it was decided that the new yogurt was not to be used as a starter. Sorry I don't have a better explanation. , mom to > > I have been using Dannon as a starter, and since I can never find a single serving of the plain, it has made more sense to just use more dannon as the starter each time to use up the quart.
