How can giving up processed foods and eating a more healthy diet make me so constipated?? I've always had this problem but now its more severe. I'm approaching 1 month on this diet and am really depressed about this reaction. Does anybody have any idea why I'm reacting this way? WHat foods are you eating? Are fruits and veggies peeled and cooked? Any supplements? Any meds? Any yogurt? Probiotics? Probiotics? > goat yogurt (just a little - tasted awful), probiotics (pill form) -- I realized by taking my daily fix of chocolate out of my diet, I became extremely constipated - this was always a proven laxative for me. When I cheated with some gluten free choc chip cookies - my constipation went away immediately. My doc has me on magnesium now which hopefully will help. On another note - people are commenting on my losing weight. This really is the best diet for that! Yeast and being treated for yeast can be constipating (was for me) epsom salt baths may help by removing the yeast toxins. Have you tried the constipation protocol - you may need more to get things moving. I once tried some sugar free chocolates and thought someone had buried a minefield in my lower digestive system. When i want candy now I make my own Diva's Fab Fudge from the UCLBSrecipe site.
