Guest guest
I sometimes wonder if my son, Sam, has always had some pain. There was one time when he was really small that I had to hold him all night...he and I slept on the floor propt up on pillows...he on top of me...It seemed that he was only comfortable that way. I think that he was having an attack then. I wish I had known....I feel so guilty knowing that I am the one that has passed this MONSTER on to him. Well, enough pouting...Have a super evening. THanks for listening Mindi
Guest guest
Aren't the doctors trained in medical school to watch for this disease? especially since there's such a high increase of it? I feel like my doctor told me from the first visit that's what I had and he didn't even do the ct scan yet. I'm going for it this afternoon. the last time I went for a CT scan and i had oral contrast, it messsed up my stomach. I happened to be at a super market at the time becasue it was Thanksgiving time and I HAD to do the shopping. I couldn't wait to get out of that store. I learned from that last time to go home immediately after the test. no wandering around for me. I pray it doesn't mess up my already upset digestive system. I went to the rheumotologist yesterday referred by my family dr. because of a c3 level being too low. the doctor said I do not have lupus because my ana test was negative and feels that the complement panel is low because I'm not absorbing any protein. my family dr wanted to make sure there wasn't an autoimmune problem causing the pancreatitis. A coworker of mine's mother had a problem with her pancreas about one yr.ago. one of our clients who happened to be a well known doctor referred her mom to a dr. in the city. this dr. is studying pancreatitis and he has therory that some pt.s families who have alcholism in it, say a parent, that it effects the genes of the children that are borne from them. it's not necessarliy caused by binge drinking by the patient themselves, but genetically they are destined to have this disease in the course of their lives. how interesting. I need to get the name of this doctor in NYC. maybe it would help someone else. I've been reading so many patients testimonies that they don't even drink alcohol yet the dr. is blaming it on the consumption of alcohol. how demoralizing. so it goes to say, that the medical teams are still studying it. they don't know of the symtoms in the early stages unless it's staring them right in the face. which means alot of misdiagnoses and untreatment which could be for on going years, such as myself, before the real damage is done and only a small % of the pancreas is working. how unfortunate.
